Get up close to winning Formula 1 cars, practice your skills as an RAF pilot in the Wellington Bomber, try commentating on a race and find out about the science behind the sport in the state of the art Tech Lab. Go out the back doors of the museum and walk the old track on the outdoor track trail and catch a glimpse of the action on todays track.

Museum opening hours are Monday - Friday: 10am - 4pm, with last admission at 2pm, and on Saturday - Sunday from 10am – 5pm, with last admission at 3pm. Café closes at 4pm.

Access cannot be allowed to the Silverstone Museum on these main event dates at the Circuit unless a main event ticket is also held by all attendees:

MotoGP British Grand Prix: 2nd - 4th August
Silverstone Festival: 23rd - 25th August
British Touring Cars Championship: 21st - 22nd September

The Silverstone Experience is predominantly indoors, except for the outdoor heritage track trail.

I thought the visit was excellent for our children to understand how cars are built and to understand the history of the site and how the safety standards have changed. I thought there are some heroes in the past that could have been made more of, such as a timeline of famous names in the business and the various teams involved with the drivers.
