Wickenby Airfield Junior Driving Experiences

With the first event in November 2024, Wickenby Airfield is now hosting Junior Supercar Driving Experiences. Kids from the age of 10 up to 16 can get behind the wheel of a Supercar with a qualified instructor and enjoy some low-speed basic driving on a specially laid out course on the runway. Wickenby Airfield is located just outside Lincoln and the postcode is LN3 5AX. More details can be found further down this page.

Junior Supercar Driving at Wickenby Airfield

On most Junior Driving Events there will be 10-12 cars to choose from and you can pre-book your car when you secure your date. Some examples of cars that could be available are the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Audi R8, Ferrari California T, Ford Mustang GT, Lamborghini Gallardo and Porsche 911. Juniors do not have to have any previous driving experience, although they may join the event more if they have previously taken part in karting or a junior driving lesson.

General Restrictions for Wickenby

  • Junior drivers from the age of 10 years old can participate in the experiences, providing they can reach the pedals.
  • It is unlikely a driver will be able to reach the pedals if they are under 135cm tall.
  • Drivers must be able to understand instructions given to them in English.
  • Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Family, friends and children are welcome to spectate.
  • No dogs (with the exception of guide dogs) allowed on site.
