Take the next step to become a rally driving pro on this challenging and intensive Mitsubishi Lancer Rally X competition experience, hosted on the tarmac rally stage at Bovingdon Airfield in Hertfordshire. Not only will you be behind the wheel of the Lancer X, one of the most celebrated rally spec models - and one that delivered a record shattering four World Rally Championship wins in the late 90s for Tommi Mäkinen, no less - your co-driver will be training you and pushing you harder as you aim to achieve dramatic, high-octane handbrake drift entries, sliding the car with finessed precision around the clipping points of the tarmac stage. The day will build up to your Gymkhana time trial, as you aim to keep a cool head taking on 2 recorded laps against the clock to see if you can make it onto the leaderboard!

Itinerary
- Arrival and sign on
- 30 minute introductory briefing: covering racing lines, throttle/braking technique and track day safety etiquette
- 4 x sighting laps including 1 high speed passenger lap in a Mitsubishi Lancer rally car on tarmac stage
- 16 laps around tarmac stage incorporating tarmac circuit driving with a mixed surface section with a co-driver navigating your route
- Expert tuition on circuit driving – the racing line, trail braking and weight transfer
- Practice launching the car at the rally 'Stop / Start' sign
- Expert tuition on Gymkhana precision driving, like you would see from Ken Block's videos – how to pull the handbrake on a loose mixed concrete surface at high speed – gear 3 pitching the car sideways decelerating for a technical gear 1 corner around a barrel
- The last 2 laps will be a timed competition, launched from a standing start to see if you can beat the leaderboard

- For drivers aged 17 - 80, a full Manual UK licence is required to partake in this experience
- You must be physically fit with no serious health conditions
- Glasses must be worn if necessary
- Flat soled shoes must be worn
- Helmets are supplied at the venue
- If you wish to book a weekend date you must pay a surcharge per driver

This experience runs on weekdays and Saturdays (for an additional fee) from April to October.
Extras On The Day
Extra laps and passenger laps can be purchased on the day. Optional Damage Liability Reductions (ODLR) can be purchased on the day from £25. Without ODLR, drivers will be liable to pay the full insurance excess on any vehicle they damage.
Weather Conditions
In the case of severe weather, your event may be delayed or postponed. In this instance, you will be offered alternative dates. No refund will be offered.
