Lamborghini is the most desired supercar manufacturer - News

  • Lamborghini is the car brand most want to drive given the opportunity
  • Ferrari makes it a one-two for Italian supercars
  • Meanwhile, Aston Martin is the most popular British supercar marque with DrivingExperience.com

Lamborghini is the most desired supercar manufacturer in the UK, beating the likes of Ferrari, Aston Martin and Porsche past the chequered flag.

In fact, the latest study by DrivingExperience.com discovered that Lamborghini is the marque that most people want to drive by far, receiving almost 1-in-6 bookings despite there being more than 20 other prestigious car manufacturers to choose from in its large fleet. Lamborghini models available to drive, many capable of reaching speeds around 200mph, include the mighty Huracan and monstrous Gallardo.

However, it is a double celebration for Italian supercars, as Ferrari took second place with just over 1-in-10 bookings, no surprise given that thrill seekers can get behind the wheel of a 458, a 360 or a 430, just some of the ‘Prancing Horses’ available to enjoy.

Meanwhile, Aston Martin represents the best of UK supercar manufacturers finishing in third place just behind Ferrari, again with just slightly more than 1-in-10 bookings. Fans of the historic British brand can indulge their passion by putting pedal-to-the-metal in a DB11 or V8 Vantage, to name but just a couple.

Alex MacGregor at DrivingExperience.com said: “Despite having a large range of supercars to drive, it’s quite clear that Lamborghini takes pole position in the popularity stakes. It’s also great to see Aston Martin on the podium, beating some highly regarded competition including BMW and Porsche.”

The study also found that other manufacturers flying the home grown flag include McLaren and Lotus, both just finishing outside the top 10. Alex added: “Lamborghini posters have adorned many a bedroom wall and it would appear from our data that many Brits still consider it to be the marque to be beaten.”
