We’ve been getting all excited about our two wheeled friends here on Driving Experience recently - in more ways than one. Apple TV+ have just released a brand new, eight episode series for the platform, called Long Way Up.
The show sees British acting legend Ewan McGregor, and his friend, TV presenter and travel writer Charley Boorman, embark on an epic 100 day long journey through South and Central America, all on a trusty pair of prototype ‘electric’ motorbikes designed and built by Harley Davidson, covering more than 13,000 miles.
We’ve seen the first few episodes ourselves here at Driving Experience HQ, and we’re hooked. If you’re a fan of Sir Michael Palin and Joanna Lumley’s travelogues, you’re bound to love Long Way Up, not only for the genius pairing of Ewan and Charley, but also to see just how up to the task these motorbikes of the future really are to such a challenging journey.
The launch of this great new series just happens to tie in with another exciting development for us, as we’re now pleased to announce that we’ve got a brand new dedicated Motorbike Experiences page here on our website, which offers numerous possibilities to follow in those same tyre marks.
Highlights include a Full Day Motorcycle Trials Course, that takes place off road in the stunning Lancashire countryside of Ribble Valley. We also offer a similar package to Junior motorbike enthusiasts in waiting, aged 7 - 12 years old, on a set of OSET electric training bikes.
There’s also the opportunity to take some Motorcycle Road Trips that offer just as much as excitement as driving through South America, including the lush Italian hills of Tuscany, and the stunning snow capped mountains of Switzerland and Austria.
And last but by no means least, we have also got a selection of brilliant training courses in conjunction with the British Superbike School that will offer excellent instruction and training for novices right through to more advanced motorbikers.
