The latest figures released by DrivingExperience.com reveal that junior driving experiences are among the most popular post-lockdown.
Almost 1-in-4 bookings of our most sought-after experiences are currently being placed for youngsters to enjoy the thrill of motoring, whether that’s behind the wheel of a supercar or to learn the basics of driving.
In fact, our 60 Minute Young Driver Experience, which teaches children the basics of driving, such as starting and stopping the car, is blowing away some of the more glamorous supercar packages aimed at adults, while also being more popular than drifting and high speed passenger rides.
Alex MacGregor at DrivingExperience.com said: "UK youngsters have been receiving a very different type of schooling recently, with many learning from home. Now that lockdown is being eased, they are also, once again, being taught new skills at the race track."
"Indeed, whether it’s jumping into a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche or McLaren, or simply taking their very first steps towards getting their driving licence, youngsters are literally helping to drive the post-lockdown resurgence back to track."
Of the other most popular junior driving experiences currently being booked, the Junior Lamborghini Gallardo Blast takes second place, the 30 Minute Young Driver Experience is third, and the Junior Triple Supercar Thrill is fourth.
These experiences are all ahead of perennial adult favourites, including an introduction to drifting, truck driving and a supercar blast.
Alex added: "School’s out for summer, but children are keener than ever to learn. However, this time it’s not in the classroom but at a race track or driving academy."
