We're used to seeing them sitting behind the judges' desk every year on the hit BBC celebrity ballroom contest Strictly Come Dancing, but now Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli are unleashing their inner petrolheads and are getting behind the wheel in a new show currently airing on ITV.
In their trusty Mini Cooper, they've taken to the high road - literally - for their six part series, called Craig and Bruno's Great British Road Trips. And it couldn't be more well timed really, what with most of us opting for a staycation again this summer in light of ongoing uncertainty related to overseas quarantine restrictions on travel.
The series, now halfway through its run, has already taken in Cornwall, the Yorkshire Dales, Wales, and in last night's episode, they were taking a cruise through Cheddar Gorge and the Cotswolds, with jaunts up to the Lake District and Scotland promised for the episodes to come.
Their trip to the Cotswolds also included a stop off at the famous Prescott Hill Speed Climb in Gloucestershire, one of the most esteemed tracks of its kind in the world, and owned exclusively by the Bugatti Owners' Club since 1929. Fitting then, that one Italian (Bruno) should have taken a joyride in the automotive work of another Italian around the course!
Those with an interest in Classic Cars would do well to seek out the Yorkshire episode from a couple of weeks back as well; here, they meet up with the Yorkshire Dales Classic Car Club, and Craig gets to meet a fellow owner of his personal vintage favourite, the Triumph Stag, before joining them on an open drive.
A fantastically flamboyant but insightful watch, it also proves the nostalgic hold that a Road Tour in a heritage model still has over the British public - and how it's converted an Italian and Australian who until now, only had Strictly's annual pilgrimage to Blackpool on their UK travels. As Craig himself might say: Fab. U. Lous!
Craig and Bruno's Great British Road Trips continues Wednesday nights at 8pm on ITV, and the series so far is available on ITV Hub.
