It's hard to match the pulsating beat of a supercharged engine being pushed to its limits, every growl and roar sounding pitch perfect, hitting the right note every time on a mechanically inspired musical song sheet.
With a few earplugs at the ready, we've compiled our favourite loudest supercars, each one a decibel delight!
Pagani Huayra R Evo Roadster
There's loud, and then there's LOUD. This track-only hypercar can produce more than 140 decibels courtesy of its 6-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine, which would be like the equivalent of a jet engine firing up. It is widely regarded as the loudest supercar on the planet and also one of the most visually striking cars ever to grace a race circuit.
Lamborghini Aventador SVJ
Of course, you wouldn't expect us to compile this list without a shout out to Lamborghini and its Aventador SVJ, capable of a whopping 120 decibels. This would be like being at a loud rock concert but this time the instrument is the 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 monster.

That noise level is the equivalent to a riveting machine but we're sure you'll agree that this Porsche is definitely more 'riveting' that its industrial counterpart which fastens materials together!
