Our Hovercraft Experience vouchers give you the chance to take control of a real air-cushion hovercraft and glide across a specially prepared course at venues across the UK. These voucher-based experiences are available in both group and 1:1 formats, offering a completely different kind of driving as you learn to balance, steer and control one of the most unusual vehicles around. Your Hovercraft Driving Experience Day
It's not many of our Off-Road experiences that everyone can enjoy, but in the case of Hovercrafts, it really is an all rounder - in more ways than one. Also known as an ACV (air cushioned vehicle), they are amphibious vehicles, meaning that they can go just about anywhere and on any surface, whether wet or dry.
With all our Hovercraft driving day packages available for those aged 12 and up, it's perfect for many generations to enjoy, and all starting from some great value prices that means whether it's a group of teenage friends or a family day out, driving a Hovercraft will be an experience to create great memories to look back on for many years to come.
Driving / Riding a Hovercraft
We have three session options available for our Hovercraft driving packages: either a Blast as part of a wider group, or a 1:1 experience with a professional hovercraft instructor. Your day commences with an introduction to an instructor, who will welcome you to the specially prepared course and talk you through what to expect and give you your full safety briefing.
Once kitted up in your helmet, you'll begin a practice session to learn your way round the controls and master the basics of driving the hovercraft. If you feel confident enough after this, you can then enjoy your specified laps out on the course.
But not to worry if you'd rather let the instructor do the hard work, as you can also be a passenger for the same number of laps. Either way, you'll not miss on the great air powered fun that's to be had in a hovercraft.
Hovercraft Experience Venues in the UK
We offer our Hovercraft packages at two fantastic UK venues at present, and we do hope to add more in the future. All available locations are in fantastic access from their surrounding counties too, including the open grass course at an outdoor centre in Warwickshire that's within easy reach of Stratford-upon-Avon or from Birmingham.
Or there's also a specialist hovercraft racing centre based near Husbands Bosworth in Leicestershire, ideally positioned for those in the East Midlands, including Leicester and Loughborough, to enjoy some unadulterated ACV action.
