McLaren 720s Driving Experiences

The McLaren 720s is the newest car from the McLaren super series, replacing the 650s. Launched at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017, it is built on a carbon chassis which makes it lighter and stiffer compared to the previous 650s. The McLaren 720s has the new M840T engine with a twin-turbo V8 engine which produces a staggering 710 bhp. 

This powerhouse engine helps this vehicle reach 0 - 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and maxes out at 212 mph. These staggering statistics make this supercar one of the most powerful cars on the road today and as such one of the most desired. 

The 720s has been one of McLaren’s most highly anticipated and well received vehicles ever produced. Autocar has ranked it currently as the best supercar in the world right now - and it’s really not hard to see why! 

The 720s name is derived from the 720 PS created by the engine. It has received an enormous amount of awards and is widely recognised as the not only one of the best supercars in the world right now, but also one of the best ever manufactured. 

Students actually created the suspension brakes on this vehicle! Well, they used sponsored maths PHD students to help them develop an algorithm for the suspension that wouldn’t compromise on other areas of the car in something they coined “Optimal Control Theory”.
