High speed passenger rides in exotic supercars appeal most to the two ends of the age spectrum, according to new research from our DrivingExperience booking data.
The figures reveal that being taken for an exhilarating spin with a professional driver at the wheel is most popular with both juniors and the older generation in their 60s, 70s and 80s.
And it's the very youngest who are leading the way, as 7 to 11 year olds make up half of all junior passenger ride bookings aged up to 18.
However, at the other end of the generational gap, the older market in particular has seen significant growth, increasing by 20% over the last year.
Alex MacGregor from DrivingExperience.com says: "It appears that thrill seekers young and old are having all the fun with our high speed passenger rides. Going fast has an obvious attraction for children, while for those with a few more years on the clock, it makes a unique present or as a surprise to celebrate an older milestone with."
Among the supercars available to enjoy are Lamborghinis, Aston Martins and Ferraris, many capable of reaching speeds approaching 200 mph. However, it's not just straight line speed that's available to experience as drifting is also available as a passenger ride.
Alex adds: "High speed passenger rides are consistently popular, but Christmas sees an increase in demand for passenger rides as shoppers look for more exciting and unusual gifts to give to loved ones, family members and friends."
