Dodge Charger Driving Experiences

From its second generation of production in 1969, this Dodge Charger model we have available to book here on Driving Experiences, and you can take a seat in the car that has won over American muscle car fans of all generations.

In terms of the differences between this and the preceding 1968 model, there is a centre dividing grill and horizontal tail lights, and a trim line called the Special Edition, with a broad wheel base that gives it superb grip and handling.

Its powering is seriously meaty too, with a V8 engine bumping out 580 bhp under the bonnet, zipping from 0 - 60 mph in a breathtaking 5.4 seconds. You can expect to achieve top speeds of 135 mph, making for an unforgettable driving experience.

Of course, we can’t discuss the 1969 Dodge Charger without mentioning what it’s probably best known as, namely the motor of choice for Bo and Luke Duke as the ‘General Lee’ in the popular 1970s US TV series The Dukes of Hazzard.

Perhaps what is less known is just how many were used to pull off all those stunts and chase sequences that made it such a hit with fans, with the number ranging from anywhere between 255 to 325 Chargers, with more than one used per show. 17 of these still exist in various conditions of repair (or disrepair).
