Formerly known as RAF Cottesmore, Kendrew Barracks is based on the outskirts of the village of Greetham, lying close to Rutland in Leicestershire.

We have just added this incredible venue to our books for our driving experiences, and for those based in surrounding towns and cities including Peterborough, Grantham and Melton Mowbray (all easily accessible from the A1(M) motorway), from May 2025 you will have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of all manner of exciting vehicles here.

As to be expected, visitor facilities here are limited and basic, given that it is a barracks site first and foremost. It's with this in mind that you're advised to dress appropriately and bring any essential equipment with you on the day.

Better still, our Blast and Thrill options give you the choice of how much driving time you get in each of these, whether you want 3 miles or 6 miles driving time.

Whichever package you plump for, you can be assured that an expert instructor will accompany you for each of your drives, and will be on to pass on their insider knowledge to help you maximise your time in each of the cars so you can really feel their power and performance out on track!

But it's not just the open straights and tight corners of the track that are on offer here either. Because for those who want to go a bit more off-grid, our Off Road experiences, in everything from the varied hilly terrains tackled in a 4x4 Land Rover Defender, or on the grit and dirt of the gravel stage in our Rage Buggies, will provide you with such an opportunity.

But more high octane drives with a difference are also available to book back on track. For instance, you can climb into the cabin of a HGV lorry or car transporter for a Truck Driving session that will see you attempting slaloms and reversing on a 15 - 20 minute experience.

Or for the ultimate in adrenaline kicks, it has to be our selection of Drift Day Experiences which will get you learning to perform donuts, figure 8s and short circuits in a rear-wheel drive Nissan 350Z.
