Information About the Renault Clio 200
The Renault Clio 200 is arguably one of the hottest hatchbacks to ever grace the roads, and many have argued that it’s one of the best sport versions of a hatchback to exist today. After Renault initially released the 197, they sought to improve the Clio even more than the previous variation, and the 200 is a superb example of this.
The shorter gearing, and Formula 1 additions of the rear diffuser and brake cooling vents enhance the steering in this vehicle. Combine this with the already outstanding acceleration and superb top speed, and the result is an incredibly entertaining and fulfilling ride.
The 2.0 litre engine and bhp of 197 already stand this car in good stead, but the extra additions such as small exhaust tweaks have made this car shine far above the 197 variant, and created the award winning vehicle that it is today.
Cool Facts About the Renault Clio 200
The Renault Clio 200 has not only won the award for Best Car in its Class for 2009, but it hung on to that title for every consecutive year until 2013. Even with the improvements other cars made, it still took four years to dethrone the vehicle, which is an incredible achievement.
The Clio 200 was so successful that since its introduction, they haven’t remodelled it. They have simply released special editions that have differing features, such as the Red Bull Variant, the 500 Variant, Gordini, Silverstone GP Variant amongst others!
