Aston Martin Vantage Driving Experiences
The Aston Martin Vantage - or V8 Vantage as it’s known - is a classic British muscle car that more than proves its worth against its Stateside counterparts from that golden age of motoring in the 1970s. At TrackDays, we offer some fabulous Aston Martin Vantage driving experiences and track days at venues and locations across the UK.
Information About the Aston Martin Vantage
First unveiled in 1977, the Aston Martin Vantage was dubbed as Britain’s first supercar, being as it was comparable to the big American muscle cars of the time. But we can vouch and say that even today, it is just as powerful, if not more so, than some of its Stateside counterparts.
The power behind this British brawn of motoring comes from its four 48IDF2/100 Weber carburetors and DOHC V8 engine, pumping 432 bhp. Its speed performance is also just as brash and bold as its souped up design.
Blistering from 0 - 60 mph in 6.6 seconds, it boasts a maximum top speed of 146 mph. And whilst some things may remain better left in the 70s, a thrill seeking ride in a classic Vantage is definitely not one of them.
Cool Facts About the Aston Martin Vantage
The Aston Martin Vantage went through several regenerations over its twelve years of production. This included 342 saloon models, and 192 Volante convertible models between 1986 and the end of production in 1989.
It was a Vantage Volante that featured in the opening titles of the 1987 installment of the James Bond films, The Living Daylights, which was Timothy Dalton’s first film in the role of Her Majesty’s most trusted secret agent.
But it is set to return in November 2020, as it will also appear in Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond in the 25th installment of the films, No Time to Die.
