The BMW M3 has effortless handling and acceleration that has to be tried to be believed - no surprise when it is built for an athletic performance from its advanced German engineering. Amongst our fleet of M3s that we have nationwide, we have the E46, E90, and a track specified E36 EVO. It comes kitted out with a full roll cage, and is powered on 3.2 litre straight six, and with its 320 bhp, can swiftly go from 0-60 mph in just 5.0 seconds.

At Bovingdon Airfield, we offer our E90 M3 driving experience day. Though it’s a saloon model, it is a robust vehicle, powered on a 4.0-litre V8 engine producing 420 bhp, going from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds.

For the petrolhead wanting an experience to rival that of the popular series of Fast & Furious films, we offer our Silver Stunt Experience. Not for the faint hearted, you will get behind the wheel on a uniquely prepared BMW Z3, and with the assistance of your instructor, you will get the chance to perform some thrilling stunts, including doughnuts, handbrake turns and handbrake parallel parking.

But to see what BMW’s vision for the supercar of the future is, it has to be their new hybrid i8 model. With forward thinking design and engineering, it is powered on a small 1.5 litre 3-cylinder turbocharged engine, and two electric motors. Its dual energy allows it to reach a formidable performance of 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds on 356 bhp.

There are two easy ways for you to purchase a BMW Driving Experience on Driving Experience. You can either purchase one of our driving experience days as a 10-month gift voucher or book directly onto a date of your choice.

If you cannot see any dates on the voucher page, then simply e-mail or call us and our customer service team can give you the most up to date availability. If you wish to make a bespoke package, or are interested in making one of our driving experiences into a group event or corporate event, please contact us by going to our corporate days page and filling in our enquiry form.

If you buy an open gift voucher for a BMW package, the standard validity period to use the voucher is 10 months. However, please make sure you check this first, as some BMW vouchers and special offers may have a shorter or longer validity.

If you are booking directly onto a date for a driving experience, please note that you are making a booking request, and the date and time that you choose will still be subject to availability.

We usually confirm bookings within 48 hours, but we ask that you do not make any arrangements in conjunction with your booking request until you have received your final confirmation email. The receipt we send you after making a booking request is not your confirmation.

Other important things to consider when purchasing driving experiences for the BMW is that the driver meets all requirements in terms of age, weight, height and driving licence. These requirements are unique to each driving experience, so please ensure you have read the important information thoroughly.

If an experience is for junior drivers only, we will usually mention this in the name of the package, but not in all cases. If you place a booking for a driving experience, and the driver doesn’t meet the requirements on the day, then it is unlikely they will be able to drive the vehicle, in which case they will be offered a passenger ride.

A fine example of their progressive vision for supercars, the BMW i8 has fast proved itself to be one of the best BMW models to drive. Conceptualised and showcased back in 2009, at the International Motor Show in Germany, the first model went into production in 2014, as part of their ‘Project i’ electric/hybrid fleet. It is kitted out with a 6-speed paddle-shift transmission and a 1.5L super boosted l3 gasoline engine, and a 98 KW electric motor.

Under guidance of your instructor, you could reach speeds of up to 120 mph in this car at certain track venues. The maximum top speed limit may vary from venue to venue, due to variations in track length, but you will still be able to experience the smooth and perfectly executed acceleration, braking, and cornering on the shorter tracks as you do on the longer tracks.
