The beautiful thrum of its 5.0 litre V8 engine that sits beneath the bonnet, powering out an incredible 542 bhp. This allows the F-Type R to score from 0 - 60 mph in a super swift 4 seconds, and achieve a maximum speed in excess of 186 mph.

Praise for the Jaguar F-Type R was universally positive when it rolled off the production line in the spring of 2014. Of their first drive of the model, Autocar magazine said “This confirms what we already knew - namely, that it’s one of the best sports cars around … heavenly, yet bonkers.”

Auto Express were similarly glowing in their appraisal, saying that it “gives you an immediate sense of balance and connection with the road … a thoroughly modern 21st century sports car”.
