Under 17s Driving Lessons in Kendal

Although known for the sugary minty snack that's often in the pockets of people walking through the Lake District, the town of Kendal in Cumbria is also home to a lot of locations for Young Driver Training Experiences. If you're a parent looking for a way to spread the cost of your children learning to drive, you may want to think about booking them in for an Under 17 Driving Lesson.

Only a short journey a way, kids can do a Driving Lesson at Carlisle Racecourse alongside an instructor who will get them mastering the basics of clutch control, braking and steering in no time. With a mixture of 30 or 60 minute lessons in manual or automatic cars, kids can soon get the hang of driving in no time - in a safe and controlled environment.

These lessons are also available at Metrocentre Coach Park in Gateshead, about an hours drive away. This venue also has the Firefly Spots Driving Experience, which is suitable for children as young as 4-10 years old to practice driving in.

Kids can also enjoy a similar style of Driving Lesson but in a Mini Cooper S package which includes a 3 mile drive in a supercar. These lessons are available at Kirkbride Airfield, a short journey away from Kendal along the M6.

As well as learning the basics of driving and getting familiar with the car, kids will then round the day off with a drive in a Supercar of their choice which may include the likes of the Audi R8, Ferrari California, Dodge Challenger or the Lamborghini Gallardo.
