Information About the Aston Martin DB5
Few cars are as revered and sought after worldwide as Aston Martin’s DB5 model. First released in 1963, it is probably the car which the world’s most trusted secret agent - James Bond - is synonymous with, particularly in its starring role when driven by Sean Connery in the film Goldfinger in 1964.
The DB5 was the natural successor from the DB4 series, but boasting a much larger 4.0 litre engine with 282 bhp compared to the DB4’s 3.7 litre engine. Smooth, classy and finely engineered, it hums from 0 - 60mph in 8 seconds, and what it may lack in modern day gadgetry it makes up for in superb handling, superior comfort and astounding performance.
Let’s be honest, it’s only the best for her Majesty’s most trusted and powerful weapon in MI6. You can get to book your time behind the wheel of a DB5 in a variety of Blast and Thrill packages at some excellent venues and locations across the UK through TrackDays.
Cool Facts About the Aston Martin DB5
It’s not just in Bond films that the Aston Martin DB5 has enjoyed some silver screen action. Amongst the other blockbusters it has appeared in, it was driven by Bernie Mac’s character Jimmy Bosley in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle in 2003, and it was also driven by Leonardo DiCaprio in the 2002 film Catch Me If You Can.
Interestingly, the DB5 was also driven by the late Sir Roger Moore before he was even Bond, when he starred in the cult TV series The Saint in 1964, in an episode titled ‘The Noble Sportsman’. This particular model bore the same number plate used for the DB5 when it appeared in the 1964 installment of Bond, Goldfinger, starring Sean Connery.

Aston Martin Driving Experiences: Important Booking Information
You may buy an Aston Martin Driving Experience with two simple methods. You can either buy a 10-month gift certificate for one of our driving experience days or book straight onto a date of your choosing.
If no dates are available on the voucher page, please e-mail or phone us and our customer service staff will provide you with the most up-to-date information. If you'd like to create a custom package, or if you'd want to turn one of our driving experiences into a group or corporate event, please visit our corporate days page and fill out our contact form.
When you purchase an open gift certificate for an Aston Martin package, the voucher's normal validity term is 10 months. Please double-check this, as certain Aston Martin coupons and special offers may have a shorter or longer validity period.
If you schedule a driving experience on a certain day, please keep in mind that you are making a reservation request, and the date and time you choose are still subject to availability.
We typically confirm reservations within 48 hours, however we ask that you wait until you get your final confirmation email before making any plans related to your booking request. The confirmation we give you when you submit a booking request is not the same as the receipt we send you.
Another essential factor to consider when buying Aston Martin driving experiences is that the driver fulfils all age, weight, height, and driving licence criteria. Because each driving experience has its own set of needs, please read the essential information carefully.
If an experience is exclusively for younger drivers, we will generally indicate it in the package name, although this is not always the case. If you arrange a driving experience and the driver does not satisfy the criteria on the day of the experience, it is doubtful that they will be allowed to drive the car, and they will be given a passenger trip instead. Dates for children can be found on our Junior Aston Martin Dates page.
