Ferrari California T Driving Experiences

First showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in 2014, Ferrari's successor to their California model was the Ferrari California T. Designed by their in-house styling centre in collaboration with Pininfinara, it evolved this performance car and Grand Tourer model further than before.

The most significant changes were in its new sheetmetal and body features, and also a new and improved chassis and interior. Powering wise, the California T is not just turbocharged but twin-turbocharged courtesy of its 3.9 litre V8 engine.

Also adding a 7 speed dual clutch transmission, it powers out an impressive 553 bhp, and offers acceleration from 0 - 60 mph in a lightning fast 3.6 seconds, on its way to top speeds of 196 mph.

Critical acclaim for the Ferrari California T was largely positive on its release. EVO Magazine awarded it 4.5 stars out of 5, saying it was "a brilliant GT" with "an impressive turbo V8". AutoExpress likewise picked up on the V8, saying that it offered "phenomenal, surging performance … matches an impressively controlled ride."

Like most Ferraris, the California T has also been realised and brought to market as a scale toy model. Hot Wheels have released at least six iterations of the California T to date as a 1:18 and 1:43 scale diecast model.
