In the early 2010s, new ideas and approaches emerged. BMW's "BMW i" division, which focused on their "Project i" electric fleet of cars, was one such new idea. The BMW i8 was the first product of this initiative, representing a move towards more environmentally friendly supercars as more car manufacturers aimed to reduce air emissions.
Unveiled in 2013 at the International Motor Show in Germany, the i8 was a good four years in conception and development before it finally went into production, with laser headlights, butterfly doors and head up display.
The power on this hybrid supercar comes from its 7.1 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which offers an impressive 374 bhp. Now, doubtlessly, there will be some sceptics who aren’t entirely sold on the idea of supercars powered on anything besides fuel being much good.
But the i8 delivers more and then some. It thunders to a supreme top speed of 159 mph, with the capability to accelerate from 0 - 60 mph in a lightning-fast 4.4 seconds. So, really, until you’ve tried the future of supercars out for yourself, you’re stuck in a time warp...

If an experience is for junior drivers this would usually be mentioned in the name of the package - but it is not always the case. Each experience has different safety requirements concerning age; height; weight; licence. If a driver does not meet these requirements it is unlikely they would be allowed to drive on the day.
