Information About the Formula 1 Ford 1600
Many F1 greats started their racing careers in single seaters similar to the Formula 1 Ford 1600. The 1600 in its name refers to its 1600cc Ford Kent engine, and has a stripped back, simplistic design that calls to mind racing cars of the 50s and 60s.
You can see why this single seater is a great place for motorsport or F1 novices to jump into the cockpit of. The wheelbase is wide but with smaller tyres, meaning better handling and control for those who are just getting used to racing driving for the first time.
