Information About the Ford Mustang GT
Launched with a new and refreshed look in 2018, the Ford Mustang GT is Ford’s very latest Grand Tourer high performance model in their fleet of cars. With a new, sporty front clip and dashboard design, the Mustang GT utilises some of the very latest engineering and technology in Ford’s remit.
As well as the standard 6-speed manual transmission, there’s also the option for it to be kitted out with a 10-speed automatic transmission, as part of Ford Motor Company’s ongoing collaborative work with General Motors that they had also supplied to the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
The powering on this Mustang GT comes from a roaring 5.0 litre V8 engine, offering a staggering 500 bhp. When you take to the wheel of this very modern American Muscle car, you could reach a top speed of 190 mph, and acceleration from 0 - 60 mph in an eye popping 4.6 seconds.
Cool Facts About the Ford Mustang GT
The relaunched Mustang GT saw Ford collaborate with the toy brick company Lego for a promotional campaign. They helped Ford create a special Lego Speed Champion version of the Mustang GT, that was first unveiled at the North American International Motor Show in 2017.
But Lego aren’t the only toy company who got in on the act of producing scaled down versions of this car for play. The die cast models brand Hot Wheels produced their own version of the Ford Mustang GT in 1:64 scale.
